Graham Shelter provides numerous learning activities outside of the classroom. Every year Graham Shelter provides a trip for the clients. These trips prove to be both educational and enjoyable.
 
Extra curricular activities play a big role in developing our clients. Many of our clients have participated for their school’s basketball, football, baseball, and track teams. One of our clients scored a touchdown in the 2006 2A State Championship game. Clients not interested in athletic programs have done volunteer work in the community, participated in internships, and have explored possible career options after high school.

All of our trips are meant to be both enjoyable and educational. Every once in a while we take the time to show the clients some of the outcomes that living outside of society's rules can bring. To date, our most influential visit regarding this area of learning has been the Michigan City State Prison. The penitentiary, otherwise known as The Indiana State Prison, dates back to 1860.
